Gilbert Classical Academy Baccalaureate | Sunday, May 18 at 1 pm

Mesquite Junior High School, West Mesquite Street, Gilbert, AZ, USA

 

Students, please arrive with your cap and gown by 12:45 pm. Students will meet in the lobby and line up alphabetically for entrance at 1 pm. Your fellow seniors will be playing the prelude.

The Baccalaureate Ceremony is a motivational, encouraging ceremony with some spiritual aspects. Our advanced vocals will share some moving songs. Speakers consist of your senior consul and a teacher. A pastor will share some wisdom and send you off with a prayer. We will share some cake and lemonade and get the traditional graduate 'jump' picture. It is a good moment together and a precursor to graduation.

The GHS Auditorium is near the west entrance of the school. Park in the west parking lot. The entrance is northeast of the three flagpoles. No tickets are required.

Doors open at 6 pm and the processional begins at 6:30 pm.

Student arrival time is at 3:45 pm. Students need to be in their caps and gowns at 3:55 pm.

Group Picture Start Time: 4:00 pm. If a student arrives at 4:05 pm, you will not be in this picture
Group Picture Location: Choir Room, next to the auditorium.

  • 4:05 pm - Find assigned seats, practice lining up, walking across the stage, getting a picture, and returning to your seats.
    Posed grip and grin pictures start time: 4:20ish.
  • 5:00 pm - Teachers arrive. Practice processional, seating, speeches, procedures, and recessional with all staff and students.
  • 5:45 pm - Go to the GHS Cafeteria for pre-graduation snack.

Auditorium Doors open for parents at 6 pm.

Line up for processional at 6:20 pm. Process in at 6:30 pm
