Any parent or student who wants to revisit a station can do so at the end of the tour.
Tuesday, March 31st - Finalization Meeting, 6PM in the GCA Cafeteria (Required Event)
This is for new families that have been accepted and elected to join our GCA Spartan Family for the 2026/27 school year! At this event, our staff will finalize any necessary documentation, prepare your student for next year with a GCA Welcome Packet & Resource Guide, and provide your student with a library copy of their required English summer reading book. Parents/Guardians are required to attend; students are encouraged to, but not required to attend.
Saturday, April 11th - GCA Math Diagnostic Test, 9AM in the GCA Cafeteria
For incoming 7th graders only to determine the appropriate math course placement. Please also check below which situation your student is in:
A.) If your 6th grade student is attending a NON-GPS school, then your student will be required to take the GCA Math Diagnostic Test on April 11th.
B.) If your 6th grade student is attending a GPS school and is in on-level math (Math 6), then your student will be required to take the GCA Math Diagnostic Test on April 11th.
C.) If your 6th grade student is attending a GPS school AND is taking an honors, advanced, or accelerated math course (Math 7 or higher), then your student will be tested at their current GPS elementary school. They are not required to take the GCA Math Diagnostic Test.
Friday, May 1st - Jr. High Luau & PTO Bingo, 5:30PM - 7:30PM (Optional Event)
The Luau is for incoming 7th and 8th and 9th graders only, to join our current GCA Jr. High students to meet, greet and have fun together! There will be a variety of games and activities such as a hula hoop competition, corn hole, limbo, water balloon fight, and free food to enjoy such as hot dogs, chips, cookies, and a variety of drinks available! Students should wear light, casual and comfy clothing since we will be outside exerting lots of energy, and the possibility of getting wet during our water balloon fight!
Parents are welcome to drop your students off at the Luau, and then attend our PTO Bingo event to help raise PTO money for the 2026/27 school year!
Tuesday, July 15 - New Student Orientation
For new incoming students to check out the campus with fellow GCA students! This event is technically optional, we highly encourage your new students attend so they are well prepared before the first day of school! During the New Student Orientation, incoming students will receive their schedules, temporary ID badges, Chromebook, and get a chance to tour around the campus with our GCA Ambassadors. Have your student bring a writing utensil and be ready to take a Chromebook home after your session. GCA Uniforms are not required to be worn for this event.
Parents, while the students are doing their orientation, we will have a place to assist you with navigating Infinite Campus, signing out your child's Chromebook, buying your child's PE uniform and other swag in the Spirit Store, and get assistance with completing your Annual Update. Our athletic administrators will be available to answer questions and assist with sports sign-ups, as well.
Thursday, July 17 - Spartan Day (Optional Event)
Spartan Day is not a required event, but we encourage both new and returning students and families to attend. Here are the reasons to come to Spartan Day - meet new friends, buy PE Uniforms, get outstanding deals at the PTO Uniform Closet, join our incredible PTO, get help with your schedule, get help with your Annual Update, get music information and buy a music shirt, buy Spirit Store swag, learn the layout of the school, drop-off medications or self-carry paperwork, ensure your fees are paid, get athletic information, and have some fun!! We hope to see you there!
