2022-23 GCA had 46 AP Scholars, 31 AP Scholars with Honors, 39 AP Scholars with Distinction, 2 National Merit Finalists, and 9 AP Commended Students.

On January 14, 2025, GPS will welcome all employees who have worked in the district for 25 years to a celebratory breakfast hosted by Superintendent Dr. Shane McCord. Neely Traditional Academy and Gilbert Classical Academy (GCA) have been named among the top-ranking schools in the state according to U.S. News & World Report. Neely Traditional Academy was ranked #4 among Arizona's elementary schools, while Gilbert Classical Academy ranked #4 in Arizona's middle schools.

The Gilbert Days Parade is back for its annual celebration of the Town's heritage but, rather than celebrating the town and district's past, students at Gilbert Classical Academy are decorating the district float to highlight what could be the “Gilbert of the Future.”
